My webcomic list isn’t so unique. I’m a big fan of Girls With Slingshots, Bad Machinery, Questionable Content, Rumbirds, Tune, Johnny Wander, All New Issues, The System, Hello With Cheese, Ulti-Man, Oglaf, DAR when it was running, EmiTown, Stop Paying Attention, and whenever my friend Kelsey Wailes gets a comic together I WILL READ THE SHIT OUT OF IT!!!!

prepping for chapter 3. learning as much as I can about manga studio 4 so I don’t waste a bunch of time doing things the slow way. already imported all of the dialog which is the most annoying part for me so hopefully I can maintain the buffer better this time around. I also figured out how to maintain the tone…-yness of the screen tone at a low res export, so hooray for that.
Whipped up the cover art for the printed version of Chapter 2 (which you can pre-order btw) last night. Gonna prep the pages to submit to the printers today.
Other news:
- made some phone calls/e-mails yesterday and it looks like I might have some tables at a couple of local conventions in February and March. they seem super old school (collectors/hobbies/comics/trading cards) but they seem happy to have me so hopefully I’m not just embarrassing myself
- need to print new business cards. aaaaaaaaaaaa
- 1/5 Monster Hunter commissions done, which is going to be posted tomorrow
- started 2nd Hunger Games book and wish I had somebody to gush about it with, ung
a screenshot of my desktop after completing the second chapter of Rumbirds! so happy to be done. 68 pages, with each taking 3-5 hours to complete (~300 hours).
next on my plate:
- finalize chapter 3 script
- prep chapter 2 for print
- commissions! (opening & doing them)
- write blog posts
- taking pre-orders for chapter 2
I’m sure I am forgetting a bunch of stuff. Tomorrow I’m going to visit the store I have my books in to refill copies (!!) and find out how things went. I have an idea of how I want to offer chapter 2 for print online but need to figure out the best way to execute it. It’s gonna be an interesting experiment :>
I wrote a lengthy post summing up 2011’s events for Rumbirds. I might make a post on Tumblr about general life stuff later.
Had to scramble today and draw a new cover for the printed version of Rumbirds chapter 1. I didn’t realize the convention was so soon! This is my first time printing a serial comic so hopefully I did everything right. Eeeep.
